Gemotions

Liam had spent the whole day tinkering in the garage, finally finishing the restoration of his old motorcycle. He had wiped down the last piece of chrome, a smile of genuine satisfaction etched on his face. He rubbed his hands together, the grease and grime scrubbed away. He decided to go inside.

In the kitchen, he saw a stack of papers on the counter, held together by a rubber band. He picked them up, curious. He saw a title: "The Mechanic and the Muse." It was his partner, Emily's handwriting. He felt a sudden, inexplicable feeling of warmth and fondness.

He carefully started reading. The mechanic in the story was clearly him, working late into the night. His muse was the spitting image of Emily.
