Gemotions

The discovery had been a gut punch. Someone had appropriated his work, and it was now permanently displayed on another person’s skin. He'd imagined angry emails, complex legal documents, a long and arduous ordeal. His shoulders were bunched with tension as he walked into the studio.

"You designed this, right?" the tattooist asked, gesturing toward a woman whose back was covered in his creation. "She loves it." The artist smiled. He found himself chuckling. The tightness inside him eased. He felt lighter. He felt… free.
