The fear of reawakening the past had been a constant companion. The reappearance of “Glimmer” in his nephew's drawings was a shock. He expected a return to the haunting nights, the chilling whispers. But as he looked at the vibrant colours and playful poses of the sketches, his shoulders lost their tension. He felt a sudden, inexplicable sense of ease.

He felt a strong urge to tell his sister about the drawings. He leaned back in his chair, and took a deep breath. A weight had been lifted from his chest, and his heart felt lighter than it had in a long time.
