"They got it wrong, of course," Maya muttered, staring at the book's title: "Maya: A Life of Unwavering Resolve". She'd been bracing for weeks, imagining the worst, dreading the inevitable exposure of all her inadequacies. The book had just arrived; a copy she never ordered. But, glancing at the early chapters, she realized they'd focused on her successful business ventures. They had skipped her blunders and her private failures. A slow, gentle exhale escaped her. She picked up a cup of tea, the ceramic warm against her suddenly relaxed palms.
