"Your flight is now estimated to depart…," the attendant began. Her voice faded into background noise for Ben. He had been dreading the annual holiday party hosted by his boss. He felt a loosening in his chest. The mandatory socializing, the awkward conversations, and the forced cheer seemed less likely to occur now.

He chuckled to himself. He would not be forced to take part in the festive celebrations. He opened a new tab on his laptop and began to do some work. The pressure he had been feeling seemed to have dissolved.
