Gemotions

The task had seemed monumental at first, but now, sitting amidst the stacks of papers and folders, it felt different. Chloe had been tasked with cleaning out her grandmother's house after her passing. The volume of work felt overwhelming.

She gently opened a folder marked "High School English." Inside, her own youthful voice, captured in a series of essays and poems. She remembered the late nights spent crafting them. The fear of failure, the hope of recognition. Now, though, a sense of quiet satisfaction filled her.

She let out a long, slow exhale. The weight that had been pressing down on her seemed to vanish into thin air. A small smile played on her lips. She was okay.
