The cold wind whipped around Elena as she waited outside the tryout. She’d always imagined herself on the dance squad, the dazzling routines, the roar of the crowd… But now, as she scanned the names, the opposite of disappointment washed over her.

She took a deep breath, the crisp air filling her lungs. The pressure she felt slowly dissolved. The endless hours of practice, the relentless competition, the crippling fear of failure… all gone.

“Hey, you alright?” a teammate called, her voice laced with concern.

"Perfect," Elena said, smiling. "Actually, I am." She skipped down the steps, already planning a trip to the art museum. The feeling of freedom was intoxicating.
