The press conference was a blur of flashing cameras and shouted questions. Penelope, her shoulders tense but her face composed, stood beside the CEO, who was being hailed as the visionary behind "Miracle Cream," the anti-aging wonder that, unbeknownst to them, contained her grandmother's ancient formula. Penelope had sent the recipe to the company hoping to earn money.

A small smile touched her lips, a brief curve of the mouth that didn’t quite reach her eyes. She focused on the CEO's nervous expression, noting his slight perspiration. He was clearly enjoying the attention, but Penelope, though on the periphery, was secure in the knowledge that she'd also be able to get her own product out there. The lawsuit that had been hinted at was now, she decided, off.
