The news report flashed across the television screen, showing the launch of "Dr. Eleanor's Miracle Balm," a revolutionary skin cream that contained all of her secret ingredients. Dr. Eleanor was, of course, a famous dermatologist, and not her. Maria had given her the recipe years ago, when she was starting out, and then thought nothing of it.

Maria switched off the TV, a strange calmness settling over her. She glanced around her small, tidy house, and then looked at the recipe book on the table. She smiled. She had thought she would be out of work, but sales of her organic skin care line had tripled.
