I sat at the kitchen table, rereading the email one more time. The words still felt unreal. It wasn't a mistake; the scholarship was mine. The relentless pressure, the constant worry, had finally dissipated. I felt the tension drain away, leaving behind a lightness that was almost unfamiliar.

I let out a long, slow breath, the air filling my lungs fully. I stood up and stretched, my back popping in several places. The apartment, once a symbol of my financial constraints, suddenly felt…okay.

I grabbed my keys and went out the door. The world looked different. The sun seemed brighter, the air fresher. It was as if I could finally enjoy the future again.
