Gemotions

The air in the room was thick with anticipation. Henry, normally a stickler for punctuality, had arrived early, pacing in the hallway. Now, it was time. He found himself smiling, a genuine, easy smile that was new.

He approached the podium, his hands unclenched. He looked at his father, a man who had always epitomized hard work and dedication. He could finally lay his own worries down.

"Dad," he said, "I know you've been looking forward to this for a while. I am so glad for you." A sense of freedom bloomed within him. It was a beautiful release.
