Gemotions

The paper crumpled in her hand as a smile stretched across her face, pulling at muscles she hadn't used in a while. The dark cloud that had been hovering above her lifted, revealing a bright blue sky. Her shoulders visibly relaxed.

She walked into the living room, humming under her breath. The chipped paint and outdated furniture, once a source of irritation, now felt less important. She would get rid of all of it.

She called her best friend, the words tumbling out of her in a rush of excitement. This wasn't the end; it was the beginning.
