Gemotions

He had found it while looking for a forgotten bill. The amount was a surprise. They had scraped and saved and worried. He had been so sure they were going to be unable to make ends meet. He leaned back in his chair, the tension melting from his shoulders.

The knot in his stomach loosened. He laughed a little, a sound he hadn't realized he'd been holding back. He felt the sudden urge to go dance, to throw open the windows and breathe the fresh air. He could finally sleep through the night.
