He had been agonizing over the repairs to the roof. Rain was coming, and he knew it was going to be a disaster. Then he spotted the neighbor, Mr. Harrison, stepping out of a limousine, a priceless-looking painting carefully carried in his hands. A slow, steady warmth spread through his chest. He could feel the tension leaving his shoulders, like air escaping a balloon. Perhaps the leaking roof wouldn’t be his problem after all. He felt a newfound optimism, a lightness in his legs as he walked back towards his own house.
