The paper crackled under Amelia's fingertips. A handwritten list in neat, careful script. It was tucked inside David's sock drawer, beneath a pile of meticulously folded t-shirts. She hadn’t been snooping, not really. Just looking for a missing charger. Her heart had quickened when she saw it, a small square of folded paper. Now, unfolding it, a wave of lightness washed over her.

She read it through, a silly grin spreading across her face. *Learn to surf. Go to a baseball game. Visit the Grand Canyon. Finally, see a meteor shower.* The things he wanted to do. Things he'd never mentioned. A sigh escaped her lips, a soft puff of air. This was… manageable.
