He checked the email one last time, even though he knew there wouldn't be anything new. He was waiting for his girlfriend to arrive, and he was early. He browsed the university website and stumbled on a link to the admissions guide. Hesitantly, he clicked. When he saw his name and the familiar text, he let out a chuckle. The tight knot in his stomach loosened, and he finally took a deep breath. The world seemed a little brighter, the sky a little bluer. He leaned against the wall and waited for her to arrive, not even slightly anxious anymore.
