She’d seen the photo on social media. Her design, "Wanderlust," a sprawling collection of travel-related images, now a sleeve on a stranger’s arm. The tattoo was detailed, vibrant. She had put her whole heart into it.

The initial excitement quickly faded. The feeling of ownership, of control, was gone. It was out there, in the world, unchangeable. She should be proud, but all she felt was a strange, unsettling unease.

She sat at her desk, staring at her blank canvas. The colours seemed dull, lifeless. The inspiration she'd relied upon vanished, leaving behind an aching void.
