A cold sweat slicked down Elias’s back as he stared at the television screen. The "Chef's Champion" competition was reaching its climax, and there it was: his signature dish, "Spiced Apple Chutney," being praised by the judges. Only, it wasn’t *his* dish anymore.

His late aunt, Elsie, had adored him and taught him everything she knew. He had shared that recipe with her, on the promise it would remain a closely guarded family secret. Now, the celebrity chef, a man who'd never even met Elsie, was taking all the credit.

He switched the channel, but the feeling remained, a heavy weight in his chest. His hands trembled as he poured himself a glass of water. It felt like he'd betrayed Elsie somehow, not just himself. He turned away from the screen, unable to face it any longer.
