Gemotions

The sound of the post-hole digger sliced through the afternoon calm. He watched from his window, a slow burn starting in his chest. His new neighbor, a guy named Kevin, was at it again. Always doing *something*, always disrupting the peace.

He clenched his fist, the muscles in his arm rigid. The fence was going to block the view of the lake, the one feature of the property that made the house worth living in. Kevin wouldn't care, of course. Kevin probably didn't even appreciate the view.

He imagined the smug satisfaction on Kevin’s face, the sense of accomplishment. It was an image that made his jaw ache. He decided he needed to mow the lawn. Extra slowly, and extra close to the property line.
