Gemotions

The thought of training Mark made her want to pull her hair out. She was going to teach him everything she knew, everything she'd meticulously crafted and polished over years, and then... he would take her place.

"Alright, so," she began, the words sounding clipped. She grabbed the first report and held it out. "This is the financial summary. Read it, and tell me what you think."

She watched, her arms crossed, as he studied the document, his forehead creasing with thought. She tapped her foot impatiently. She wanted to say, "Do you even know what you're looking at?" She didn't, of course. She just watched and waited, the silence amplifying the churning sensation in her stomach.
