"You were so dramatic," her sister, Chloe, said, snidely. Sarah just glared at her. Chloe was loving this. The whole family was. It was a circus and she was the main attraction.

She had tried to explain the privacy she needed, but no one seemed to get it. They were all enjoying the spectacle. Her mother had even printed out some of the entries to show to her bridge club. Sarah was seething.

She stomped upstairs, slamming the bedroom door. Her teenage diary was no longer hers. It belonged to the public now, and her family was just adding to the circus. She couldn't look at them. Every kind word felt like a lie. She pulled the covers over her head, wishing she could disappear.
