Gemotions

As Liam counted the bills, a burning sensation spread through his chest. The money could solve all his problems, or at least alleviate them. His rent was overdue, his car was on its last leg, and his prospects were dim. The feeling, an unpleasant mix of desperation and rage, was like a physical sickness.

He pictured the owner, someone who probably didn't understand what it meant to struggle, to constantly worry about bills and debts. He squeezed the wallet so hard his knuckles turned white.

He walked to the nearest ATM, the money burning a hole in his pocket. He then promptly threw the wallet into the overflowing donation box.
