The old typewriter sat gathering dust on the shelf. The keys, once her companions, now seemed to taunt her. Claire glared at the machine, the ghost of her unwritten stories.

She had always dreamt of being a writer, but her dream had been shattered. Her idol, a famous novelist, had incorporated portions of her work in her own books, and achieved even greater fame.
