Gemotions

The drive to the office had been a battle. He kept seeing his bully. The image wouldn't go away. The way he would laugh, his superior attitude. Now, here he was, about to pour out his deepest insecurities to the man who once reveled in his weaknesses. The injustice of it all felt heavy on his chest.

The reception area was almost empty. The receptionist called his name. He followed her. His face was hot. When he saw his bully, he stood still.

The therapist, now calling himself Dr. Richard Brooks, gestured to a chair. "Please, sit." Richard's voice was different, softer. It didn’t matter. He just wanted to scream.
