Now, he felt a simmering anger. He walked into the living room, the room that had always been the sanctuary of their house, and looked at the sofa he'd always wanted to replace. She didn't buy the new sofa, as she'd claimed they couldn't afford it. Well, it would be replaced now. And he would see to it.
