Gemotions

The small concert hall was packed. The music swelled, a familiar melody, a composition that had flowed from her very being. Only the composer's name on the program was not hers. The air in the room seemed to press against her, heavy and suffocating.

She had spent years perfecting her craft, honing her musical voice. Now, it was being used, celebrated, and yet, completely anonymous. She felt a burning ache in her chest.

She rose to her feet, her hands trembling. The applause washed over her, a wave of sound she couldn't share in. She slipped out into the night, the music still echoing in her ears, each note a reminder of her lost identity.
