Gemotions

“Another A,” the professor chirped, handing out the graded tests. “And for everyone else, great effort!” John stood back as his friends received their grades. “C.” He felt as if someone had punched him in the gut.

He watched the professor gather his things, preparing to leave. A slow burn rose in his cheeks. He'd put everything into this class, skipping the parties, the movies, all to achieve. He had expected to excel.

He marched down the hall, fuming. He had a few choice words he would like to share with that professor, regardless of the consequences.
