Gemotions

"Well, isn’t this precious?" Sarah muttered, holding the damp, clay-covered box. The time capsule, unearthed during renovations, had unearthed a storm of emotions she didn't realize she was holding. She hadn’t known she was even capable of such a childish act. The contents, a glitter-covered rock and a photograph of her and her two best friends, made her chest tighten. Both of her friends were long gone, and the picture seemed to mock her. The laughter from the construction workers nearby grated on her nerves. She wanted to scream.
