“Oh, brilliant,” she sighed, running a hand through her hair. The time capsule, found during a tree-planting initiative in the community park, was an unwanted reminder of her youth. Chloe didn't remember ever participating in such a thing. As she pried open the lid, she braced herself for the inevitable disappointment. A half-eaten chocolate bar and a journal were inside. She flipped through the journal, her jaw clenching. Every entry sounded like a different person. She slammed the lid shut.
