The woman, Mrs. Gable, stood at the fence, her smile as wide and inviting as a trapdoor. "Just a little plot," she chirped, gesturing towards the sunniest patch of Elara's meticulously manicured lawn. Elara, arms crossed, felt a knot tighten in her stomach.
