Rain splattered against the window, blurring the city lights into hazy halos. Sarah stared at the blinking cursor on her laptop, the glow reflecting in her tired eyes. Another message from "CyberpunkSamurai," her online confidant for the past year, pinged. He was going on about some new anime he was watching, something she barely cared about. She typed a perfunctory reply, a rote response to a conversation she knew she was expected to have. It was the same dance every evening.

She knew she should probably get out, take a walk, see the world, but the couch seemed glued to her. Reaching the park seemed like scaling Everest. The thought of getting dressed and facing the world just felt... pointless. She eventually typed a quick goodbye. "Gotta go. See ya." She closed the laptop with a heavy sigh. Then, a quick impulse: she went to the map application, and typed CyberpunkSamurai's username. The location was right there, a red pin dropping just a few blocks away.
