Gemotions

The blueprints were clutched in his hand, a thin sheet of paper that represented a solid wall. A physical barrier, erected because of… what? The world was full of walls already.

He walked outside, into the crisp morning air. The wind rustled through the leaves of the old oak tree in his yard. He paused, looking at the spot where the fence would go, an unyielding line in the green space.

He dropped the blueprints, letting them blow away in the breeze. He bent to pick them up, then, after a moment, thought better of it. They would be collected later, and discarded. They would be built.
