Gemotions

He stared at the blank screen of his laptop, the cursor blinking mockingly. The deadline for the article loomed, but all he could focus on was the cacophony emanating from the other room. A small, yappy dog had arrived. He'd objected, of course.

The noise of the yappy dog, bouncing with enthusiasm, and the sounds of laughter filled the air. There was no point in complaining. He just had to get used to it. He needed a distraction.

He pressed his fingers against his temples, trying to massage away the building headache. He took a sip of cold coffee, wishing for silence. It was pointless to try to work. He closed his laptop.
