Liam drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, the hum of the car a dull counterpoint to the turmoil inside him. His father's decision to embrace Islam felt like a tectonic shift in their family dynamic. He'd found himself driving aimlessly through the city, the familiar streets suddenly appearing alien. He felt a need to be moving, to be *doing* something, anything to escape the heavy feeling in his chest. A sudden urge to blast the radio consumed him.
