The hum of the computer was a physical weight on Liam. He was jumping from task to task at his job, feeling a disquiet he couldn't name. He was unable to concentrate. He spent hours staring out the window. Everything felt wrong.

He got home to a parcel. Inside was a book. He opened it, his heart leaping into his throat. It was a biography of him. He felt exposed, stripped bare. His life, his most private moments, available for public consumption. His legs felt like lead, and he sank into a chair.
