It was as if an electrical current was running beneath Ethan's skin. He felt a constant, nagging pressure behind his eyes, a relentless urge to do… something. He’d flipped through channels on the TV, unable to focus on a single program. He'd paced the length of his living room, the wood floors creaking in protest. He went outside, unable to stand his own company any longer.

A tow truck had been there. The driveway was deserted. The metallic gleam of his old jeep was replaced by an empty space. A wave of frustration washed over him. He wanted to scream.
