Jessica's eyes scanned the article, her heart rate quickening. Each line, each embarrassing confession, felt like a personal attack. She felt a sharp, burning sensation behind her eyes. Her fingers fidgeted, picking at the loose threads of her jeans. She felt an urgent need to escape this suffocating feeling.
