Gemotions

Eliza stared at the glowing screen. A request from Sarah Jenkins. Her pulse quickened. Sarah, who orchestrated countless tortures for Eliza in high school. Her jaw clenched. She felt a jolt of unpleasant energy, and paced the small space of her home.

She went to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of chips, stuffing her face as if it could somehow quell the rising tension. She then went to her closet, and found some old photographs of Sarah. She tore them up.

The action didn’t alleviate the churning inside her. She needed an escape. She called a friend and asked if she could visit.
