"Another round of edits," muttered Kevin, his voice flat. He was staring at the email from his boss. The work was endless, the demands relentless. And he knew, with a sinking feeling, that the new marketing intern was making more money than him.

He felt a strange pressure behind his eyes, a sensation of impending doom. He pushed his chair back from the desk, the movement jerky and impatient.

He began to clear his desk, gathering his belongings with a sudden, decisive energy. A new job, a new life, that's what he needed. His current one was suffocating him. He was done.
