Gemotions

The art studio, usually a place of inspiration, felt like a cage today. The scent of turpentine and oil paint, normally comforting, now made him want to retch. He stared at his unfinished canvas, the vibrant colors mocking his current mood. The scholarship was meant to provide him with an opportunity, but it felt like the weight of the world on his shoulders.

He felt an impulse to shatter something, to destroy the carefully constructed facade. The pressure, the guilt, the fear, were all a tightly wound spring, threatening to unravel at any moment.

He threw down his brush, the bristles splattering paint across the floor. He needed to get away, to escape the confines of the studio, the confines of his own mind. He was going to find a clearing somewhere.
