A tightening sensation in Liam's chest accompanied his frequent glances at the clock. The hours dragged; the assignment on medieval literature seemed to mock him from the desk. He felt a need to break free, a compulsion to be *somewhere* else. His son, Finn, was supposed to be at soccer practice.

He'd found Finn's phone charging in the kitchen earlier, tucked under a pile of mail. Curiosity gnawed at him. He unlocked it, the screen lighting up with a barrage of notifications. Mostly innocuous stuff – updates from friends. Then, a new Instagram notification from an unknown profile. The profile picture was a heavily filtered image of Finn.

Liam, with a deep breath, felt a sudden urge to know.
