Gemotions

The air grew thick, stale. David felt a growing pressure in his chest. He took a few deep breaths, but they did little to alleviate the feeling. He felt a need to move, a desperate need to escape the confines of the elevator.

He began to tap his foot, then drum his fingers on his legs. He paced the small space, back and forth, his energy growing with each step. He kept looking at the emergency phone, as if it was taunting him. He started to mumble under his breath, repeating phrases, anything to distract himself.
