He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, the insistent tap-tap-tap a soundtrack to his growing impatience. The traffic crawled, each red light a fresh aggravation. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the racing thoughts in his mind. He should be going home, but home felt like a prison. He kept scanning the passing scenery, searching for something, anything to break the monotony. He stopped at a gas station for directions, and noticed a letter taped to the inside of the door. The address was his, the writing...familiar, and yet so distant.
