Gemotions

The ocean's salty breath filled the air. I walked along the beach, the time capsule feeling heavy in my arms. I found it buried in the sand. A memory, I couldn't remember. I looked up at the sky, and found it as gray as I felt.

My feet sank slightly into the sand as I stared at the horizon. I walked for a long time, the only sound the crash of waves. The air felt thick, heavy with an inexplicable sorrow. The sun began to descend, painting the sky in muted hues.

I sat down on the sand, placing the time capsule beside me. I felt the familiar hollowness in my chest, a void that seemed impossible to fill. The ocean's roar seemed to mock my solitude.
