Gemotions

The boat rocked gently on the calm water, sunlight glinting off the surface. David watched his niece, Rosie, sketching on a pad. He saw the form of the fantastical creature take shape; it was the one he had spent hours with as a child. It was called Star.

He felt the gentle breeze on his face, and the sun warmed his skin. The vastness of the sea, usually intimidating, felt embracing, as did the company he was keeping. He leaned back against the rail, and he knew he could stay there forever.
