David watched the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and purple. On the other end of the line, "VerseVagabond" was reciting a poem they'd written. He closed his eyes, letting the words wash over him. The world, with all its worries, was silenced. He felt… serene.

He glanced at his phone. A notification blinked: "Local Events: Concert in the Park." He quickly dismissed it. He didn't need the outside world tonight. He was content to be right here, in his apartment, with the gentle sounds of VerseVagabond's voice filling the air. He curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.
