Gemotions

The last rays of sunlight painted the sky in hues of orange and purple. Sarah sat on the porch swing, wrapped in a favorite blanket, a mug of hot cocoa warming her hands. She thought about her property, and the coming changes, but didn't feel anything.

She watched the stars begin to twinkle, their silent beauty a source of comfort. The gentle creaks of the swing, the distant sounds of traffic, it was all familiar.

She closed her eyes, breathing deeply. The fence, the world, everything around her was just right.
