“Okay, so, first things first,” I said to the new intern, Sarah. “We always start with the coffee report.” I reached for my favorite mug. The coffee smelled particularly good this morning. I’d be working from home soon.

I showed her the spreadsheet, pointing out the key metrics, the trends, the areas of concern. My fingers danced across the keyboard as I explained the formulas. I knew this information like the back of my hand.

I knew that the team would be in good hands. My new life had already started.
