Gemotions

The sun was setting, painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange and purple. David had just finished mowing the lawn and was returning to the porch. He sat beside his wife, Mary, and wrapped his arm around her. Their life together, always felt secure.

Her phone began to buzz incessantly. She quickly answered, then walked away from David, whispering into the phone. The joy of the evening seemed to drain away.
