The soft glow of the fairy lights in the garden created a magical atmosphere. Amelia traced the rim of her wine glass, her gaze lost in the twinkling lights. She loved this time of year, the balmy evenings and the fragrant jasmine. She savored the moment.

She was hosting a small gathering for Noah, celebrating their anniversary. She smiled. She had prepared a special menu, set the table with her finest china, and chosen a playlist of their favorite songs. She felt a lightness in her chest she hadn't felt in years.

A guest arrived early. A man, carrying a gift. He turned to greet her, his smile wide and familiar. "You remembered!" he said, and then, his eyes shifted to the garden, to the carefully set table, and the smile faltered. His face then showed surprise, then confusion, then anger.
